Course Description
The ProQual Level 3 NVQ Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety is a nationally recognised RQF qualification designed for individuals who have responsibility for maintaining and promoting health and safety standards in the workplace. This competence-based qualification is ideal for supervisors, safety representatives, team leaders, and those progressing into H&S practitioner roles. This qualification enables learners to develop the skills, knowledge and practical capability required to identify hazards, reduce workplace risks, investigate incidents, and promote a positive health and safety culture. Learners will build a professional portfolio through real workplace evidence, demonstrating their competence against industry standards.
What this qualification covers
Learners will complete all mandatory units (and one optional unit), covering:
- Investigating and evaluating workplace incidents and complaints
- Ensuring responsibility for actions to reduce risks
- Developing procedures to safely control work operations
- Monitoring and reviewing health and safety performance
- Promoting a culture of health and safety
- Conducting workplace risk assessments
