Course Description

The ProQual Level 3 NVQ Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety is a nationally recognised RQF qualification designed for individuals who have responsibility for maintaining and promoting health and safety standards in the workplace. This competence-based qualification is ideal for supervisors, safety representatives, team leaders, and those progressing into H&S practitioner roles. This qualification enables learners to develop the skills, knowledge and practical capability required to identify hazards, reduce workplace risks, investigate incidents, and promote a positive health and safety culture. Learners will build a professional portfolio through real workplace evidence, demonstrating their competence against industry standards.

What this qualification covers

Learners will complete all mandatory units (and one optional unit), covering:

1. Investigating and evaluating workplace incidents and complaints
2. Ensuring responsibility for actions to reduce risks
3. Developing procedures to safely control work operations
4. Monitoring and reviewing health and safety performance
